Single purpose / 单一用途

Bookmark Tidy helps users locally inspect, preview, back up, move to a pending area, sort, and, when safe, roll back changes to Chrome bookmarks.

书签整理助手帮助用户在本地检查、预览、备份、移动到待处理区、排序，并在安全条件满足时回退 Chrome 书签变更。

Data handled / 处理的数据

When browser bookmark mode is selected, the extension can access bookmark titles, URLs, folder names and paths, bookmark and parent IDs, order indexes, root or management indicators, and the bookmark tree needed for the chosen operation. It also stores language and pending area exclusion settings.

用户选择浏览器书签模式后，扩展可访问标题、URL、文件夹名称与路径、书签及父级 ID、顺序索引、根目录或受管标记，以及所选操作所需的书签树；还会保存语言和待处理区排除设置。

Use of data / 数据用途

Data is used only to show scan results, build a preview, verify a local snapshot, carry out a change the user explicitly confirms, detect conflicts, create a user requested HTML backup, and support limited rollback. Bookmark data is not used for advertising, credit decisions, unrelated profiling, or sale.

数据仅用于展示扫描结果、生成预览、验证本地快照、执行用户明确确认的变更、检测冲突、生成用户主动请求的 HTML 备份和支持受限回退；不会用于广告、信用判断、无关画像或出售。

Storage and sharing / 存储与共享

Settings are kept in chrome.storage.local. Operation snapshots and logs are kept in IndexedDB in the current Chrome profile. Bookmark data is not sent to the developer or third parties. There is no analytics, advertising, remote AI, account service, or developer backend. Chrome may sync bookmarks if the user enables Chrome Sync.

设置保存在 chrome.storage.local，操作快照和日志保存在当前 Chrome 资料的 IndexedDB 中。书签数据不会发送给开发者或第三方。扩展不含统计、广告、远程 AI、账号服务或开发者后端。若用户开启 Chrome 同步，Chrome 自身可能同步书签。

User controls and retention / 用户控制与保留

Users can clear saved preferences and records for batches that were successfully rolled back. Other operation records remain locally to preserve recovery and conflict evidence. Uninstalling clears extension local storage but does not undo bookmark changes, remove pending folders, or delete downloaded HTML backups. The extension never automatically deletes bookmarks or pending folders.

用户可清除偏好和已成功回退批次的记录。其他操作记录保留在本地，用于恢复和冲突核验。卸载会清除扩展本地存储，但不会回退书签变更、删除待处理文件夹或下载的 HTML 备份。扩展不会自动删除书签或待处理文件夹。

Security and exports / 安全与导出

The extension uses only the bookmarks and storage permissions. Exported HTML backups contain bookmark titles and URLs and should be treated as sensitive files. People who can use the same browser profile may be able to inspect local extension data.

扩展仅使用 bookmarks 和 storage 权限。导出的 HTML 备份包含书签标题和 URL，应作为敏感文件保存。能够使用同一浏览器资料的人可能可以查看扩展本地数据。

Before you start / 开始之前

• Use Sample data first to understand the screens. / 先使用示例数据熟悉界面。
• Select the smallest useful folder scope. / 扫描真实书签时选择尽量小的文件夹范围。
• Export the prepared HTML backup before applying a change. / 执行变更前导出已准备好的 HTML 备份。
• Chrome Sync may copy bookmark changes to other devices. / Chrome 同步可能把书签变更同步到其他设备。

Recovery / 回退

Open History and use Roll back on the newest compatible operation. Rollback stops if a title, URL, parent, child membership, or order has changed. Export the batch backup and inspect Chrome's bookmark manager rather than forcing a conflicting rollback.

打开“历史”，对最新且兼容的操作使用“回退”。若标题、URL、父级、子项或顺序发生变化，回退会停止。此时请导出该批次备份并在 Chrome 书签管理器中核对，不要强制覆盖冲突。

Pending folders / 待处理文件夹

Selected duplicate bookmarks and empty folders are moved into a pending batch folder. Bookmark Tidy never permanently deletes them or automatically removes pending folders. Use Chrome's bookmark manager later if you choose to delete them.

选中的重复书签和空文件夹会移动到待处理批次文件夹。Bookmark Tidy 不会永久删除书签，也不会自动移除待处理文件夹。确认不再需要回退后，可自行在 Chrome 书签管理器中处理。

Known limits / 已知限制

• URLs are matched exactly; no dead link check or parameter removal. / URL 仅精确匹配，不检测失效链接或清除参数。
• Cross-folder matches are hints and are not merged in bulk. / 跨目录相同 URL 仅提示，不批量合并。
• Only the latest compatible operation can be rolled back. / 仅最新且兼容的操作可回退。
• Chrome 134 or later is the tested target. / 已测试目标为 Chrome 134 及更高版本。
